What are you using for coil in your 12 volt conversion?
Original 6 volt coil with added resistor
Direct 12 volt coil (no resistor required)
Direct 12 volt coil with added resistor that came in conversion kit.
If original 6 volt coil with resistor, check to see that the resistor is close to 1 1/2 ohms. If more than that jumper around it and see if it starts. If so get 1 1/2 ohm resistor. I've seen several conversion kits that have wrong resistor included.
If direct 12 volt coil (no resistor required) and you have added the kit resistor, remove it.
