I have been tinkering with this 4 cylinder Ford engine since I bought a 1929 Model A car 60 years ago. Now have 2 8Ns; a 1948 front mount (have kept it running for 32 years) and 1952 side mount (have used it to mow pasture for 5 years). It started to sputer and die, so I replaced coil (twice), condenser (twice), plugs, wires, and points. Starts fine, but has an irritating sputter (miss?) no matter engine speed, distributor setting, or carb setting. Still dies after a few minutes under load. Stiil has gas to carb when it dies. Any reasons other than fuel or ignition that could cause this?
