It's 2010 now, and most people are still totally in the dark about what has happened to these tractor manufacturers. Well, join the club. Hopefully this will shed a little light:

Seems Long Agribusiness LandTrac is dead. Not sure what year that occurred.

Long Agribusiness LandTrac compact tractors at some point (mid 2000's) became EscortsAgri's Farmtrac branded compact tractors. (For example, the Long Agribusiness (LG) purple/black/silver model 360DTC became the Ford blue/black/white Farmtrac model 360DTC.

Farmtrac North America is dead. They officially closed their doors for business in January 2008.

On a brighter note:

Montana Tractors BOUGHT up the failed "Farmtrac North America" in early 2008 from EscortsAgri.
Montana Tractors is continuing to carry on the original LandTrac/Farmtrac COMPACT series that are still in production today.

The Farmtrac brand of UTILITY tractors, 30hp-60hp, are all alive and well, and are still in production today (year 2010) by EscortsAgri of India. They are the former American built FORD utility tractors like the former 3910, 4610, 5610 Ford tractor models from the 1980's & 1990's.

I'm not sure what to do about parts and service support for all the other former LONG Agribusiness tractors.

For example, the original LONG brand of tractors?
Hopefully someone else can help shed some light on that topic.

I know some of the Long Agribusiness larger built utility tractors were rebadged & colored Russian built Zetors.

Anyhow, for certain, I DO know I'm correct about the specifics on the former LandTrac/Farmtrac COMPACT tractors and the Farmtrac (Ford-based) Utility tractors.

It's all so confusing... Global trade is a royal P.I.T.A.!

I sure wish John Deere could build cheaper priced, but still quality compacts! (Then I'd have bought one of those instead.) Those stupid E-hydro's have been the "death" of JD compacts. For new retail, it puts them out of reach competitively. Plus, those damned hydros hurt their reliability and longevity. Nothing more reliable than a simple synchronized shuttle tranny. I'm not sure why Deere doesn't seem to realize that!

We love our Long Agribusiness LandTrac 360DTC Mitsubishi 4-cylinder diesel compact 4x4 tractor. It's a good-darned thing Montana Tractors picked them up so we can keep her going for years to come.
