In Reply to: Long Agribusiness LandTrac 300. Too good to be true? posted by Rick on Tuesday, December 09, 2003:

Parts for the former Long Agribusiness LandTrac Series and EscortsAgri former Farmtrac Series of COMPACT tractors.

Parts!

For ANY Landtrac or Farmtrac COMPACT TRACTOR...

I repeat: For the Korean & Indian built COMPACT tractors, NOT the larger former Ford-based UTILITY tractors.

As far as I know and understand, COMPACT tractor parts can be obtained through ANY competent Montana Tractors dealer.

Montana Tractors bought up the failed (Landtrac - Korean built) (Farmtrac - Indian built) "Farmtrac North America" company from "EscortsAgri" in March of 2008, after "Farmtrac North America" went belly-up in January 2008 and closed their doors for business.

You will find that the Montana COMPACT series of tractors are now basically the exact same compact tractors as the former Landtrac/Farmtrac compacts. They merely have green paint and a new name. (Unless you are blind, the resemblance is uncanny.)

For example... From what I can tell, the Landtrac (or the Farmtrac) 360DTC is basically the same tractor as the Montana 3840.

Here's a quick "Paint Color Reference":

Landtrac - "Long" purple sheetmetal & black chassis with silver rims.

Farmtrac - "Ford" blue sheetmetal & black chassis with white rims.

Montana - "Montana" green sheetmetal & black chassis with silver rims.

Check out Montana's website: www.montanatractors.com

Now... the FARMTRAC UTILITY TRACTOR line (NOT the Korean and Indian built COMPACT tractor line) is STILL a viable company today, under the EscortsAgri Machinery Group.

Again, I repeat... Farmtrac UTILITY tractor LINE.

Check out EscortsAgri's website: www.escortsagri.com

Escorts Agri is the Indian company that still produces the Farmtrac Utility series of tractors. They are 30Hp - 60Hp tractors. They ARE the decendants of the FORMER American Ford utility tractors. They are the new versions of the former series like Ford 3910, 4610, 5610 series of FORD UTILITY farm tractors that New Holland so foolishly sold off many years ago.

The "Farmtrac" utility line is sold and marketed as an export tractor from EscortsAgri in India to all "advanced markets in the world". (Like the USA.)

Additionally, EscortsAgri also has thee "Powertrac", which are 34Hp - 55Hp tractors. They are also former "Ford-based" utility tractors. I believe the Powertracs are only available in India. (Possibly exported to the 3rd-world countries also.)

I'd be willing to bet my left nut that the engines in the Powertrac's are not emissions-compliant for import into the USA. (But I honestly don't know that for certain.)

Gotta do a lot of on-line research to find all this crap out. It ain't terrible difficult, just a pain in the butt is all. But, you'll be amazed what you can learn!

Hope I was of help!

P.S. The posted picture of the Landtrac 360DTC with cab is ours, and it's for sale. Only 1,050 hours. Never a problem. She's a great, reliable, efficient heavy-duty little compact diesel 4x4 tractor. Only selling because we no longer need it due to we are downsizing our equipment line. Asking $10,500. Tractor is located in Williamson, NY 14589.
