If the clutch isn't fully disengaging it can make some noise. Can you tell where the noise is coming from? A mechanics stethoscope can be big help to locate the source, especially if it as a bad bearing.
Or it could be an intake air leak. Do you hear the noise at idle and at high rpm? You could spray around the intake manifold area with carb or break cleaner to see if the engine rpm increases. Tom
