I should have also advised that these carburetors can be rebuilt fairly easily and kohler sells the needed parts.You should be able to locate a mower shop that will do it for about half the cost of a new one.Used carbs for K301,12 hp and K321 14hp are pretty abundant but in the 16 and 18 hp they are scarce.Unless your carb body is damaged it should be rebuildable.
