While I have never posted to this forum, I do frequently enjoy reading the posts. I have a JD 4600 which to this point has been trouble free and a real work horse. Recently while mowing my pasture, the tractor stopped suddenly and failed to restart. Dash lights would come on but the starter would not crank. The safety interlock fuse was blown. Replaced the fuse and all was well for another couple of hours running, but now it has blown the fuse numerous times. All safety switches check out OK as far as I can tell. I have a schematic and have tried to track down where the problem is, but so far unsuccessful. Does not appear to be heat related as it has blown the fuse after short run times. Likewise it blew once without the PTO engaged. I've seen other posts regarding the "thermistor," but in looking at the schematic it doesn't look like that effects the interlock fuse. This would obviously be much easier if the thing would continually blow the fuse, but I can go back to it later and it will start. Any advice would be appreciated.
