this will probabaly open a can of worms but....
is there a chart of sorts to kind of line up the various models and sizes across the various manufacturers and their lines (amybe a "consumers reports" type of format?)

i am looking at what i would call a medium compact tractor (looked at a NH 1724 (forget the exact number, but it was 01, 24hp) and it looked to be on the outer limits of what it could do. So looking at 25hp and up, something more than a glorified lawn tractor (whihc this NH looked like) but i do NOT need a really heavy duty one either operating a BH, FEL, mower, snowblower, scarper blade, etc. aroudn a 10acre parcel of land doing landscaping, work around the house, dig small ponds, etc.

I THINK i have narrowed to Branson, Kubota, NH, and JD as these seem to be the more reliable and strong units. I ma not hearing alot of good long term reliablity on the Chinesse tractros (Jinma, Foton, etc.) and we only want to buy once and i would rather have something that has a BIT more than we need vs. pushing one that meets the needs and we push it hard and keep breaking

thoughts, comments,
please cc me at parallax@vianet.on.ca as i am new to the board, on dialup and takes time for me to get here, etc. thanks gord in ontario canada 705-385-1203
any leads on used ones fine too!
