will a subcompact backhoe dig thru clay soils . I recently rented a one man auger and with the 10" bit, it stopped digging and I had to drill 3 smaller holes 6" ea and soak then dig out with shovelto go 14 ' depth for planting trees. I E also is the PTO hp (17.7kubota bx 24 on 23 hp at 3200rpm)stronger to go thru ... I guess I better rent or borrow to try before I buy. I only have about one acre of this stuff on the Santa Rosa Plain
