Just found this board. Maybe you guys have some thoughts on my 4514 issue. My 4514 runs fine when moving on smooth, even terrain. But when I stop abruptly, or shift into reverse abruptly, or sometimes when I go up a steep incline, the engine coughs and misses momentarily, and BOTH the fuel light and the heat indicator light glow or sometimes fully illuminate briefly. Then when I stop lurching around, the engine again runs smoothly and the indicator lights go out. Once in a while I'll get a popping noise like a backfire through the carburetor - commonly heard on engines that are set too lean or timed too far in advance. I suspected a bad fuel pump, but maybe there is a problem in the carburetor. Perhaps a bad float in the float bowl, that may cause a temporary fuel starvation problem? Have you guys ever run across this problem? Thanks for your time and input. Larry
