mtd mowers are cheapies. used to work on mine every year.bearings, belts,ect..... sorry,but, buy cheap stuff, you get what you pay for. I'm not dissing you,just "been there done that'.Don't get me wrontg, it was all i could afford at the time too. there throw away mowers.
