Thanks Tom. I thought of that too. I took the tow plate off and got access to the filter and pump. I cleaned some grass that was packed in there out and banged around on the fuel filter a bit. Now it runs great most of the time. If it acts up I pull the filter from the clip and shake it a few times and it seems to be better. So... I am thinking the fuel filter. Seems odd though how that might make the pump click longer.
I have a new filter ordered but it isn't in yet. I hope that takes care of it as the next choice is the fuel pump and that is quite a bit more.
