i favor John Deere because i bought a JD 870 with loader 10 years ago and NEVER had any trouble with it so far. it is the yanmar built JD, but is a very good strong compact tractor. with the loader attached i can move (2) 750lb round bales at once. one on the loader and one on the rear bale spear. i use it for bush hog work and almost everything except baling hay. JD has some great new models out now and they have very strong hydraulics and good dealer support fro service(if you should need it) and parts availability.
