Pulled the injectors today and going to do a compression check to rule out a bad cylinder 1, I moved injectors around but it was hard to tell if the problem stayed with the injector or the cylinder. There is a definite problem with it not hitting on one cylinder.
Next week I’m having the injectors bench tested. And will also do the compression check. I’m crossing my fingers that the injector didn’t lean out and ruin the rings on that one cylinder.
Each shop says bring it in, my father in law (a diesel mechanic) is suspecting a bad cylinder, I’m thinking a bad injector dumping to much fuel.
So we are both some what stumped.
I’m really surprised that no one has come forth on this topic.
