If I had to buy one today, it probably woud be a Deer. Anyway, I had the Honda for about 8 years.
It's always seemed to run a little rich. I notice it when I'm plowing and parking it in the garage. No smoke. I have noticed oil residue in the air cleaner from the PCV. I'm not really using any oil.
I'm finally trying to cure it. I've got a manual. I've reset the valves and replaced the plugs. I getting ready to check all the carb adjustments. I know the choke is completely open. Has anyone had experience with the carb or a similar problem. The manual says if the float level is off the float has to be replaced. Nice drawings, but not too much text.

Thanks in advance,

Mike
