Re: the 530 with front end problems. I assume the dealer is putting in the new front ends. What happens when the warranty expires and it's either up to you or a mechanic to fix? I'm currently looking at a Long 530 with a loader. Up to your post, I was impressed with all the positive comments on the Long. With a loader on the fornt end, I would be doing quite a bit of 4WD usage which, obviously, would put more stress on the front end. What year is your model? I found two dealers with used Long in inventory, basically year 2000. Both have aobut 300 hours on them. I'm cautious about that. theowners seem to have traded with little hours on the tractors = disatisfaction? The one with a loader is in the $17k range, which is a good price in comparison to used JD's and NH, at least the ones local dealers have for sale. I remember that back in the late 80's/early90s? SAME had a similar problem with their 4WD front ends, they just wouldn't stay together. Comments from any one?
