Rick, be aware that not every Long tractor is made by the same company. My understanding is that there are several "lines" in Long. You have Landtrac, Farmtrac, Longtrac, etc.. The tractor for each line is made by a different supplier. Massey Ferguson is another example of this structure. This is not necessarily bad just modern global economics. Compact tractors are generally made in Asia, mid size in Europe and big rigs in North America since thats where small, mid size and conglomerate farms (and tractor buyers) exist in large numbers... at least thats what I gleaned from many a dealer I spoke with...
