Hello, I have an Allis Chalmer D15 with a Mystery lever on it(see pic).

It is located under the starter and has a forward and back detent but seems to have no effect in either position. It looks like a rod went into it for control from the operators control area.

Can anyone tell me what this lever is for or it's function?
