Hello all first time rebuilding a steering cylinder on a 5040. My customer has reinstalled the cylinder but the tractor turns left as soon as the tractor is turned on. As well as being very hard to turn right. He called me with this and I told him to bled the lines By jacking up the front end and cracking open the lines and move steering wheel left and right. He said that seemed to help a little but it didnt fix it.All I did was replace the seals,I did take the valve box on the cylinder rod apart to check if it had seals in it since the customer thought thats were it was leaking from but alas no seals in there.I was very careful in laying parts out as the came out so Im pretty sure it went back together correctly. But I guess anythings possible.
Ive been told by someone that its out of adjustment at the box there on the cylinder rod, but no one seems to be able to tell me how to adjust it . The tractor repair place cant seem to find their manual and Id rather not have to spend money I dont have to use the manual one time. Can anyone help? I would GREATLY appreciate any help.
