Yesterday after using the tractor for an hour or so stopping and starting periodicly. I went to re start the tractor and as I hit the start button the motor bucked slowing the starter ever so slightly then I could feel something let go. There wasnt really much noise maybe a slight clunk. I said to myself "The tractor never did that before". I imediately (2 seconds) removed my finger from the button. I then hit the start button and the tractor fired right up but the hydraulics do not work both loader and backhoe including stabilizers. No grinding or odd noises? My firt thought is the hydraulic pump broke. It is located up front below the radiator. Next week I will pull the pump unless someone has a better idea on how to troubleshoot. There are no pressure gauges that work.I have limited test equipment but I will attemp to repair. 1972 Tractor will I have trouble finding parts?
