Do you know if the front axle setup is the same as my massey ferguson 1030? I think both of these tractors were made by the same manufacture ( grey tractors manufactured by hinomoto, and maybe even similer to the hinomoto model E2304/ E2308 ). Mine is about 1984 - 85 year MF 1030 and I have broken the front axle r/h side yoke ( cv joint inside housing out at the steering pivot point ) and I am having a hard time finding a part to replace. Don't know if yours is the same, but there is a differential in the front axle center section and it would seems normal for the wheels to spin in opposite directions if the front was jacked with both wheels clear of ground, thats the way a non positrack diff works. If both wheels spin when turning one wheel, I would look at the differential or input to it. Did you say when driving with 4 wheel engaged, one front wheel goes one way and the other goes the other way? That part seems odd. Could it have a stripped gear in the differential center section that would let one side drive and the other side idle?
Thanks for posting, maybe I will learn somthing also.
