Went to move snow and the ol' D17 wouldn't keep running. Repair shop says bad piston or crank is the knocking I heard. Needs an engine overhaul at 3-6K they say, that dog don't hunt. I use the tractor for snow and summer tasks. Don't really have that kind of cash to put into it.
So I am looking for options. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I will sell it as is if I can't find a cheaper way to get it fixed. Then I guess look for something else.
