Allis model C are very good tractors. They run at low engine rpm, have good torque and last well. The only thing that I would try to find out is whether it tends ot pop out of any gear. If abused when shifted they will develop a habit of popping out of gear under engine braking.
I have a 1948 that I paid 1000$ for in running condition. I had to replace some seals, paint it and replace the tires.
