I recently was able to acquire a D17 series 3 tractor from a woman whose husband was recently deceased, and she knows absolutely nothing about the tractor, so she is no help.
Here is where the confusion starts, the serial # on the tractor reads D17 3737. According to every bit of info that I can find on the internet it is implied that the D17 was first mfg. in 1958 and the serial numbers started @ 4300. Did the series 3 start a new numbering series. Also what year did the d17 come out with a series 3. The decals look like the original all worn and cracked.
So would appreciate if anyone out there can help.
Thank you.
Darold
