I have an FX28D which has the same 1490 cc engine as the FX26, with the exception that the FX28 is a turbo diesel. The FX26 is about 28HP total and the pto hp is 24. My machine has performed very well over the 3 years that I've owned it. However, I would most definitely
recommend the 4-wheel drive version which is the FX26D if you plan do any serious pushing or pulling.
