Interesting!
It just "Screams" that they must pay more for the legitimate good, used Japanese units and their mark up for the Vn recons are considerably higher. Doesn't it seem that NO Warranty on a used model is to discourage interest and 'unload' a recon instead?
If they were the last dealer on the planet and I wanted a Yanmar...I'd buy a used one without the warranty.
Among the five remaining Yanmar tractors I still own and operate almost weekly I have one that was inadvertently purchased (in a lot of 6) that IS a Vietnam rebuild. It has never run right, I've thrown way too much money at it and bring it out and work on it when my shop is slow. Five years later and several hundred dollars in parts, it's still not right. Can't/wont sell it, have too much money tied up in it and I can't see creating an enemy by dumping it on somebody else.
It IS pretty though!
