I've had a reconditioned tractor (YM2000) with a bulldog loader for 6 years other then front wheel bearings. I have not had a problem with it. Its been a great little tractor. I pull a 5' box scraper and a 4'roto tiller.
I believe any machinery bought used will at least be a limited crap shoot. While it may have problems a reconditioned tractor still looks nice in its pretty new red paint.
