All Yanmars originate in Japan, some are imported direct to the US, others (ones in BAD condition) end up in other countries primarily Vietnam where labor is cheap, there they undergo a so called "reconditioning" "rebuild" etc. most of the time from mixed parts from salvaged machine to make a running tractor, add paint and new hour meter and sent here to the US to rip consumers off. I hope you are not one of them.
