They buy their yanmars from vn reconditioners. Ask where the nearest Bulldog loader dealer is. We get calls all the time for parts for bullodg and vtech loaders (the two made/used by the vn reconners). Ask to see his inventory of parts, or better yet, an OEM parts book and a parts catalog. How can one order parts without these things? Sorry, I have no patience with those who sell this junk, especially when they make up the story as they go along. Some of us buy good quality used in Japan, bring it here, and process it in our own shops. Some buy from those of us who do this. Others buy from vn reconners. Not to say every one of them blows up, but based on the calls we get over the past 8 years or so since they appeared, their rate of catastrophic failure seems to be many, many times that of units processed stateside. Like with all things, you pays your money and makes your choices. ALWAYS get references. A seller can say anything....10 references are a lot more likely to get a buyer closer to the truth.
