I just put a new radiator in my 1500. The old one was clogged internally. Mine will run around 220+ on a warm day. As Danny says, the OEM temp sending switch is set higher. That tells me the engineers that designed the machine figured it is ok to run there. If you didn't have the temp gauge, you wouldn't be worried. I don't worry about mine when the temperature climbs; I just monitor the gauge and clean the screen occasionally.
