After searching through the archives here to see if anyone else had my problem it appears that I am in need of a steering box rebuild.
My issue is this, I have full steering to the right but coming back left at the straight point it gets stiff then skips for about a 1/3 turn and then it locks up. Turning back to the right it repeats the process then turns to the right without issue after passing the straight on position. I have not opened the steering box up fully to verify the issue, but was hoping it was a broken tooth on the horizontal shaft gear and I would be about to rotate out 180 degrees to get back on good teeth, but after reading on the forum no one suggested that or it is more than likely a bearing issue. When I opened the end cap on the steering box water came out, so I think that answered my question.
I am not afraid of doing the rebuild myself but I have not had time to research through my manuals.
Len I tried to email this to you but received a cannot deliver message.
Thanks
Jeremy
