You didn't mention how you drained the oil. There are three drain plugs on the YM155. One on the transmission, and one at each side at the back of the transmission on the bottom. (these drains are not mentioned in the manual. In my experience, if you don't get all three, you will have a hard time getting rid of the water. I have tried letting the oil set to separate the water.... I ran out of patience a long time before anything separated. I have never tried it myself, but you might heat the oil/water to perhaps 150 to 175 degrees. That will help split out most water.
