Could be a weak battery, subjected to a full discharge, can't recover. Could be the jumping knocked out the voltage regulator. Could be the alternator failed but they're pretty hardy.
Get the battery tested, charged, replaced, whatever. Monitor it, and if it discharges in use, assume it's the reg. You can replace it (maybe around $125), or bypass it: when the engine starts, turn the key off (it will run without draining, just no lights or horn). Charge it up every ten or so starts.
