How did the oil look before the oil change? Was it thinned out from fuel or hydraulic oil?
How about the exhaust (smoke), does it smoke under load? Is the color dark gray or blue/black in color? Other than the typical diesel 'kock' do you hear any unusuall noises from the engines bottom end?
What really needs to be checked, and is probably the problem with your Yanmar, is the crankshaft, rod and main bearing surfaces and the amount of wear.
It's too late to head the advise about buying a reconditioned or 'Factory Rebuilt' tractor...but it's not too late to save the tractor by planning on a full overhaul. IF the rest of the tractor is sound and without any mechanical problems, then addressing the engine repairs may be all that's needed to have a durable and dependable Yanmar for decades to come.
