I am aware of that; I do not mean this to sound arrogant, but there is little, if anything, about this market involving the Yanmars that I am not aware of. It is my business, and I've been at it for way longer than most people have even heard of Yanmar. I did not say authorized distributors would not sell parts, I said they have signed an agreement not to. I have no control over anyone else's integrity or lack thereof. We were given the same choice several years ago, and I am well aware we could have played games with Yanmar, but I don't do business that way. We chose to support the greys.

Yes, OEM parts distributors are, by contract, prohibited from selling OEM parts for the greys, and supposedly from working on the greys with any parts source...I say supposedly because our contract did not have that latter stipulation, but I understand later versions did/do. It does aggravate me that we lose business to people who flagrantly violate their agreement, and it further aggravates me that Yanmar apparently does nothing to stop them. None of that changes the facts, and we continue to do business in as forthright a manner as we can. Ask each of those 5 to send you a written communication stating that Yanmar America allows them to sell OEM parts for grey models. Or email YA yourself with documentation of those online sales/solicitations and ask them if that is acceptable. I don't do either because it would be malicious of me since I am a competitor, and I choose not to be malicious. As a consumer you have every prerogative to ask the manufacturer if they will support your tractor with OEM parts.
