If there's a design flaw in Yanmars, it's that the hydraulic dipstick tends to detach from the cap. The reservoir holds a lot, but the amount somewhat depends on the attachments. Just fill to a few inches (headspace for heat expansion) from the top. Never use straight hyd fluid.
