Some models are slightly different from others...The bottle is for diesel fuel only.

Early models you have to fill and later models recover the unused fuel from the injectors via the return line to your fuel tank. With the intake manifold 'igniter' working properly it works excellent for very cold weather.

I wouldn't let anyone tell you to use starting fluid (ether)on your Yanmar. Many instances where ether has ruined these engines. My understanding is the design of the precombustion chamber-intake manifold are subject to fragment pistons, valves and head during compression stroke.
