Do you mean that the rear axle(s) will once again, be bathing in transmission fluid ? That it
is just a matter of time ? Shaking in fear, you don't say ? Ding Dong Engineer's, Big John Deere and International fill immediately.
On the bottom of the axle housing, there are two small removeable square headed plugs, these are the one's that bled the fluid out.
Nothing is in the axle chamber right now, with time, it'll be fill back up again ?
Funny thing, the dealer filled the tranny with what looks to be automatic transmission fluid, red and thin in color. I called around and was told this was indeed and infact, thin hydralic fluid.
The fluid that came out of the axle, was black and thick and stunk and gritty. wow, this is crazy, thank your input and hope to hear more.
The front axle has obvious fill points, rear has none, I couldn't find anything in the owners manual about it either. I guess it must be filled by the pinion then ? Happy New Year Lens, Sincerely, Lloyd
