I'd really urge you to buy a lightweight, 2WD tractor fitted with a FEL. If, that is, you were my enemy.

Someone new to small diesels may have trouble differentiating vibration from movement, and you've called it both. And you don't know if it's 4WD, so even if it is you haven't tested whether it works. I've suggested hiring a tractor guy to check it. Among the many differences between a tractor and a car, a tractor will last a lot longer so you want the right one for you.

Re the FEL, don't know, but if not, it would likely fit other Deeres, and there's lots. Or many close-fits can be modified. But a loader off/on is not like a rear attachment off/on, and I'd leave that to a pro.

You rarely need power-down so the better test is power-up, and stay-up after shutdown. If it's bad there too, could be weak pump, plugged filter, wrong or low fluid, or internal leak in one or more of the four cylinders or the controller. So the fix could be free (to clean a screen filter) up to four figures. But as I say, even if you had to invest $1500 in repairs, that's still cheap for a decent tractor.
