Depends on (1) how often you change it (multiweights don't hold all their properties quite as long as single weights), (2) how easy it starts when cold (battery condition, engine shape, use of starting aids), and (3) whether you run for long or short periods after starting (the shorter, the more need for a multiweight).

Stay with 30, or a good compromise would be 15/40. More critical is that it's diesel certified.
