I have recently replaced the fuel filter on my 1500d. After filling the bowl till it overflowed with fuel, I started the tractor and let it run for about 5minutes to check for leaks. Leak check good, and then I shut it down. One month has gone by, and I went to use the tractor. To my suprise, it will not start. The fuel petcock is on, and i can clearly see the bowl is fuel of fuel. I have cracked the fuel line at the fuel injectors, and while turning it over i have fuel comming out. Not much is comming out, but I believe enough to still work the system. I have opened the lines at the pump, and can see the two pistons moving back and forth as i turn it over.
I can spray deisel into the intake and get it to start that way, but then of course it dies quickly. Why would it just stop running after working great for the 25 hours i have used it? Any help would be helpful.
