I think the 260 has a spring and a friction disc in a rather complex hand/foot throttle linkage. Over time, the spring can weaken, and the disc (which is supposed to hold it where set) glazes over. Replacements are cheap enough, but it's a bother to get them, and then to access the disc, so if you can live with it, ....
