Abnormal. Start with the easiest, and you've done air-flow. If your coolant is water, try the antifreeze proportion that the label says most raises the boiling point. If the mixture's proper, have a rad shop test the cap because gaskets wear out (don't know the specs but likely around 10 lbs); if the cap's good pressure-test the rad; if OK power-flush the cooling passages. Next possibility is a leaking HG, so see if the rad shop or an engine garage can test a sample of engine oil for coolant or coolant for engine oil; if either, replace the gasket.
