A yannie that's "refurbished" and "grey" can be an excellent deal; most have lots of good life in them. Just be aware that traders buy them fresh out of the rice paddies by the container load, send them to a third-world yard for a good paint job and questionable mechanical work, and auction them to US dealers. But what you save will pay for a lot of repairs.
25HP is stronger than it sounds (I find a 25 diesel will match a 35 gas), and a bigger one won't do more work, only faster, and using the same amount of fuel. The limitation with compacts is traction, so you might want 4WD, good ag tires and extra weights (I'd start with fluid in the rears).
Get a good warranty in writing and consider how service will be handled if it won't drive. Get at least an Owners Manual or (preferably) a Service Manual.
