After a lot of research I pulled the back cover and got the long shaft out removed the shifter plate and discovered the hydraulic pump had locked up removed the pump and put it back togather who needs hydraulics on a pulling tractor I saved the pump to go with tractor when grandfather decides to sell it in a few years.
Thanks a lot for the info provided on this site it really helped a lot if anyone has any diagrams of the gearbox/rearend that also have part numbers to send would be appreciated
