I have spent several years working on many different Makes and Models, but I have recently gotten a hold of something that's got me rubbing my head and I would like to know if anyone has seen this issue. I lucked across the below actions which make no hyd sence what so ever.
2-105 White: When starting the unit up cold there is no Hyd functions/pressure at all. If you open the bleeder valve on the filter base (which suck in air) for about 30sec the pump will begain to cavitate and all Hyd function/pressure will return and everything function normal. (2000 to 2300 PSI)IF,you then shut the unit down (less than 15 min of run time) and restart all functions are lost until you reopen the bleeder valve, but if you continue to run for 15 min or longer (operating temp)and shut down you can restart and all functions will operating properly.
All hoses have been replaced (No suction side leaks) Preassure relief valve checked, Dump valve checked, priority valve checked and filter changed.
I suspect the problem may be with the compensator valve. It does seem to be heating up faster than normal. For some reason the pump isn't receiving the demand to start pumping when cold, but I don't understand why allowing air into the system kick starts the pump unless the compensator valve is sticking and the vibration from the cavitating pump frees it.
Wild guess?
