You will need the serial number to tell you the age of yours. Late parts manuals are labelled 2-44/550 on the front cover. The loader is a model 588 on most 2-44s. You can get a owners and parts manual for that too. I got both on eBay. But I also see that one of thee sites is advertising full 2-44 service manuals. Since they run at well over $100, I will try to get by with my 550 manuals. I have an owner's manual for the 2-44 and all it is is a late 550 manual with the 550 over-typed with 2-44!!
Just to clarify Owner's Manual have stuff like day to day lube advice, tire pressures and basic stuff for all moving parts. Service manuals are much bigger and have everything you need to rebuild any or all of it. Parts manuals have all the exploded parts diagrams and part numbers.
