Sounds like you might be developing an intake leak at the head. When the engine starts to starve out have a propane torch handy. Open the valve on the propane torch and run the nozzle over the intake/head areas letting the raw propane vapors cover each runner area 1 at a time. If there is a leak there, the engine will pickup rpm's and run smoother as long as the propane is being sucked into the intake because of the leak. When this happens you will know which runneris the culprit.
