I have an old ford that reads 601 workmaster on the hood, but I am not sure it's correct for the simple fact that the paint underneath it's present color is blue and the workmaster sticker overlaps the ford inscription stamped into the hood, The serial # is 69436 with diamonds on both sides.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I need to know so I buy the correct parts. It has lost all power and started making a screeching noise coming from the motor and acted like it is binding up and chokes down then shuts off. I am not real sure what the cause is. At first I thought clutch but it doesn't bind up or change the noise level when engaged, so then I thought a bad rod bearing but the motor does not hang up and turns freely. Any help with this would also be greatly appreciated as well. Sorry for being so long winded.
