I'd check with your auto insurance company for when you are transporting them. As for insuring them while on display, AND when they are home safe in the barn, I'd call your home owner's insurance company about adding a rider to your existing policy. Most homeowner's insurance company allow you to add a special clause for a collection that is valueable, like stamps, coins, antiques, etc., your collection just happens to have wheels on it.
